1. Why are my download speeds so slow?
A. If you're downloading from the 'free public server', your speeds will almost always be very slow. This is because the server is completely public, so many people are always trying to download from it. If you want better speeds at all times, you must become a donator to get onto the faster private server.
B. All my servers are located in the USA (New York City and Texas) because most of the visitors to this site are from America (including myself). Due to the tremendous physical distance between the continents and the large number of hops it may take you to reach my servers, it's easy for things to get slowed down for people outside North America. There are also other factors. For example, your ISP or a major backbone provider might be doing maintenance or my host might be doing maintenance.
C. Your downloads might be slow because you are not using a download manager. You should use one instead of downloading via your web browser and use these settings. Those are the settings I use and I can download very quickly even from the free public server when it is very busy. When I don't use a download manager, the speeds from the public server are very, very slow. Notice how max connections per server is set to "4"? You can set it up to "8" if you want, but any higher and you run the risk of the server automatically banning you. Some people set it to 20 or more, and they get banned because of that.
D. There is really nothing I can do to speed up the download speeds on the public server. The only way is to add more public servers, but that would require more donations.
2. The server isn't responding or I keep getting disconnected. What should I do?
You are either banned or the server is so busy that it keeps booting you off. Use a download manager to automatically reconnect if you get booted off. But make sure you don't set the max connections per server too high. Here is an example: settings. If you are banned, you must contact me or wait several hours to become unbanned.
3. What's the difference between the Free Public Server and the Fast Donators-Only Servers?
The 'free public server' is a server that often has many people downloading from it. This is because the server is completely public and anyone can jump onto it. The speed from the donators-only servers should always be fast no matter what time of the day it is. For more information about the donators-only servers, please see here.
4. Why are there so many advertisements on this site?
If you haven't figured it out yet, advertisements make the world go round. For example, how do you think TV companies can broadcast free shows into your house and still pay its actors large amounts of money? It only takes a few seconds to close the ads on my site if you don't like them, so I think it's easy to deal with them considering you're getting FREE direct downloads. If you cannot handle them and try and block them, I don't want you downloading my files.
5. May I use a download manager when downloading from you?
Yes, because if I need to reboot the server or if the server crashes, you can use the download manager to resume where you left off when the server comes back online. However, please DO NOT set the number of 'max connections per server' to a ridiculously high number in the download manager. Two to eight connections per server is enough. If you set it to a high number, you will be banned! Note: I don't care how many files you download at once, just make sure the 'max connections' isn't set too high!
6. Can I still use a download manager with the donators-only server?
Yes, all good download managers should have an area to enter in your username and password.
7. May I request a file from you? What about reuploading a file that expired?
Yes, but only for people who donate money to pay for the servers and bandwidth. If you are a donator of any amount of money above $1 USD, please send an e-mail to contact@filepulse.com with your request and I'll see what I can do.
8. Why was I banned?
People are banned for various reasons, such as hotlinking or opening too many connections to the server. If you think you are banned, please fix your download manager settings and wait 5 hours to get unbanned or e-mail me. If you get banned, please don't bother getting angry at me. Unless you're a donator, I have no obligation to continue serving you free files.
9. Why don't you offer Hello! Project DVDs, MP3s, or photo books on this site?
Because those items should be purchased to support the artists.
10. What happens if you delete a file while I'm downloading it?
Even when a file is deleted, you will continue to download it normally. But if you get disconnected and try to resume the download, you will get a 404 error.
11. May I hotlink your files?
No, you may not. Many forums like to hotlink my files without permission. This is not allowed. If you want this site to remain online, I am kindly asking that if you find anyone directly linking to my files that you tell me right away.
12. Why does your site have such a simple design?
I like to keep things as simple as possible. Besides, I'm not very good with graphics.
13. Why is there a web cam page?
Why not? I was offered a simple $60 web camera for less than half that price, so I took the offer. So why not put the camera to use? Update: The camera page has been removed for now.
14. What blue background is that on your desktop that I see when I view the camera?
It's a Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex background.
15. How much server space and bandwidth do you have in total?
I only have 673 GB of space across all five servers. As for bandwidth... well, I better not say.
16. Why do you do this?
I do this because I know not everyone can use BitTorrent. And if you can use BT, but aren't going to bother uploading/seeding a file, you might as well leech from me instead of screwing everyone over by always disconnecting after you finish your download. In addition to all that, I'm simply a nice person and I enjoy web hosting.
17. How do you afford this?
Instead of buying that $800 widescreen LCD that I want, I use the money to pay for the servers. No, I'm not complaining because no one is forcing me to do this. The ads on the site also help out, so please do not try and disable the ads.
18. Are you ever going to setup a torrent tracker?
I think there are enough well established Japanese music trackers already. If I need to step forward and take over, I would probably do it, but luckily, the chances of this happening is very unlikely. I have a tracker but I use it for other purposes.

No, I usually only use the screename DJ_Waffles on Japanese sites. I know
there are other people who use the same name as me, so if the site isn't Japanese
